In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
